Minister for Trade and Investment Andrew Robb today launched the Australian-Afghan Business Council (AABC) in Melbourne.
The establishment of the AABC reflects Australia's strong ongoing commitment to support Afghanistan into the future, including in the areas of development assistance and security.

The Australian Afghan Business Council established
Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) accredited the Australia – Afghanistan Business Council Ltd (AABC) as its representative in Australia and offered the license to Mr. Bashir Keshtiar, chairman of the council officially at a press conference in presence of Mr. Jon Philp, Australian Ambassador and Mr. David Yardley, the Counselor to Afghanistan on 29 May, 2013 in Kabul.
AABC will operate as a non-profit and non-government organization in Australia and aims to unit business communities and social networks in both countries.
A new organisation called Afghan Australia Business Council has recently been established. Bashir Ahmad Keshtiar a founder and president of the council explains in Dari the objecives and tasks of the coucil.
